Mission of the Healthcare Innovation Transfer Foundation

Leverage the excellence of two global leaders to transform process and cost of healthcare and wellbeing.

Our focus is on these heaviest users who are putting the most pressure on healthcare systems. The initial areas of collaborative activity are:

  • Cost reduction and process optimization (including provider coordination, information integration and technology adoption).
  • Vitality and innovative elderly care (including home care concepts, new product and service solutions).
  • Personalized medical care (including data analytics, technology adoption, social and genomics knowledge integration).
  • The Foundation pursues solutions in these areas with agile, rapid experiments/pilots to prove leap-forward goals by integrating care functions with appropriate, disparate technologies and services – leveraging Dutch and US excellence.

  • United States healthcare agencies and providers, universities and companies gain improved results for efficiently and effective caring for an aging population, reducing the pressure on the healthcare system.
  • Dutch healthcare agencies and providers, universities and companies gain earlier adoption of exponentially advancing technologies and a closer relationship with a deeply entrepreneurship culture to create solutions reducing the pressure on the healthcare system
  • We anticipate 15 projects with at least 25 entities involved. From start to finish these HIT projects are initiated, developed and executed, with extended knowledge exchange among U.S. and Dutch participants.

We also maintain a large network of independent experts and support staff across all aspects of industry experience, business operations and administration, marketing, leadership, human resources, technology, etc., who are available to support focused work on an on demand basis.
Having Europe’s best research and leading healthcare system, the Netherlands is Europe’s #1 Digital Health Launchpad. We will showcase the breadth of the Dutch digital health ecosystem including pitches from the most fire startup pitches from the most disruptive and fast growing startups from the Netherlands.
